Social Meeting Apr

Social Meeting Apr

Come and enjoy meeting, learning, and sharing with members and visitors. Watch a demonstration, try something new, bring your own project to work on, and show others.

It is appreciated, but not essential to register to attend.

The focus activity for the day is Tea Bag Art using folded and dyed teabags.

Tricia will show lots of examples of the ways dyed tea bags can be used in artworks.

On the day we will be using used, dried tea bags. Each person will receive some to use (but you can bring your own as well). These will be folded into a range of different patterns and then dyed with fibre-reactive dyes. You will take these home wet on a paper plate, and after they are dry, you can use them in many creative ways.

What to bring:

  • $1 (to cover the cost of the dyes, paper plates, and other materials supplied)
  • Apron (or wear old clothes)
  • A box or tray or newspaper to transport your paper plates home.
  • Optional  - extra used tea bags (dried and opened out, with tea leaves discarded)Dyed tea bags 2

It’s winter and most of us are finding it quite a tad colder than the previous year or two. ATASDA NSW committee have decided we would like to offer all our members a small challenge to complete across the cooler months.

To be completed and posted to NSW address by the end of October.

“What is it?” I hear you say….
