My piece for “Regenerate” is the result of an online workshop conducted by Cas Holmes. Using an old serviette, a scrap of silk with Japanese figures, wrapping paper which has been created using a process called momigami, antique lace edging and hand embroidery, I present my tea cup which is important to me in daily life.

Pleased to use Grandma's crocheting, embroidered and well-worn tablecloth along with her art-deco items to create a memory book.

When a much-loved silk scarf, purchased at Jim Thompson House in Bangkok, has worn out, you give it a new life form. Here the fringed edge has been incorporated into a felted bag, complemented by some op shop handles.

In years gone by, every young bride had a collection of doilies as part of her "Glory Box". The jacket is constructed from recycled crochet doilies. It has been embellished with an antique diamante clasp.

This is my attempt to rescue some of these doilies and honour their makers. The jacket is constructed from dyed, recycled, crocheted doilies.

Tribute to the grandparents. Kathy’s father Lloyd was raised by his grandparents, as the hard farming years in South Australia left his family without a home. This is the generations looking after each other…

Medium, technique: Knitted with some surface stitching of commercial yarns.

I have made it as a concertina book. The pages are marbled using shaving cream as the surface and acrylic paints for the coloured design.

Titled “Forgotten” largely because the devastation of bushland appears to have been forgotten due to the pandemic overtaking our consciousness. The fires upset me greatly. I visited Kulnura regularly after the fires to see and document the regeneration of plants and insects. This textile piece has resulted from a photo that I took of leaves that had not been burnt by the fire, but completely dehydrated from the heat.

Materials:Calico seed bags and flour bags. Many country folk used to buy their flour in bulk for their cake and bread making before supermarkets existed. You always had a cake for visitors! Seeds were frequently sold in bags. Some families made clothing from these bags.

The necklace is a recycled milk jug cover reminiscent of the days when milk was delivered to homes in billy cans. Milk was served in jugs with beaded covers to deter insects. An old pillow case has been used for the top.

Felt and Angelina fibre for the background, indicating fire. Stranded embroidery thread for the flowers just starting to bloom into life. Why titled Cobargo? A long-time friend lives in Cobargo. We met at school. Renee is Dutch and arrived in Australia when she was seven years old. Renee's house survived the fires but daughter Karen and family lost everything. I will be giving this piece to Renee.

Eco dyed silk with hand drawn design of vines screen printed. I live in the forest and the vines and creepers have a way of taking over. Eco dyeing especially on silk, gives a rich mottled background with light and darker prints giving a sense of depth and entanglement
