Textile Taster: Crochet with Sue Gray
Sue will be presenting how to crochet twirls/corkscrews (and their variations) and a simple star that can have many applications and will lead into an introduction to incorporating beads into crochet work. The projects are small and achievable and people will be able to complete at least one item in the time. Sue will supply a variety of yarns and beads (no charge - they are just from her stash left over from earlier projects). She will also bring along a collection of different sized crochet needles for members to use (please return them at the end of the session) or bring your own if you prefer using a certain type.

Textile Taster: Playing with Shapes with Liz Horrigan
Liz plays with shapes in her images in 2 ways - using tea bag impressions on paper and playing with ecoprints on paper. There is no wrong or right in this process and it's similar to seeing shapes in clouds. This is a fun exercise and you don't have to be able to draw to create interesting images.
You will be using used tea bags, black fine line pens (01 or 02), preferably waterproof, pencil, and an eraser.
Liz will bring 10cm square paper, paints and brushes to block out backgrounds, spare pens etc.
